Terms of Service

CareAide is operated by NGN Simulation Labs Ltd. ("NGN Simulation", "we", "us"), a company based in Alberta, Canada. Your use of CareAide is governed by the NGN Simulation Terms of Service, which name CareAide as a covered product. The terms below add detail specific to CareAide. Where the two differ on a CareAide-specific point, the terms on this page apply.

1. What CareAide is — and is not

CareAide is an exam-preparation tool for the Alberta Health Care Aide Registration Examination (AHRE). It is a study aid, not accredited instruction, and it is not a substitute for an approved Health Care Aide programme.

• We are not the examination administrator. The AHRE is administered independently, and we have no involvement in registration, scheduling, marking, or results.
• We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA), Alberta Health, or any testing provider.
• Our questions are generated for practice and are not real examination questions. Practising with them does not guarantee that you will pass.
• Readiness scores are study feedback. They are not a prediction of your result and carry no official standing.

2. Your account is yours alone

One account, one person. Your study plan, readiness score and question selection are calibrated to you, so sharing an account makes them meaningless for both people. We detect account sharing and may verify a new device by emailing you a code. Sharing credentials may result in access being withdrawn.

3. Subscriptions, price and GST

Independent learners subscribe directly. At the date above the price is CA$99.00 per month plus 5% GST — CA$103.95 in Alberta. GST is applied at the rate for your province, so the total may differ elsewhere in Canada. Our GST/HST registration number is 746960632RT0001 and appears on your invoice.

• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation stops the next renewal.
• Cancelling does not refund a period already started, except where Alberta's Consumer Protection Act requires otherwise.
• Prices may change with reasonable advance notice, never retroactively.
• Payment is handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number.

4. If your school pays for your access

Where an institution funds your access, it decides who is admitted, for how long, and which features are available. Your instructor may need to approve your account before you can study, and access ends when your institution's access period ends. Those are your institution's decisions, not ours — speak to your instructor first. You are never charged personally for a seat your institution is paying for.

5. AI features

The AI tutor, generated questions, documentation feedback and voice simulations are produced by automated systems and can be wrong. Always defer to your course materials, your instructor and your employer's policies. Nothing in CareAide is clinical advice or a direction about the care of a real person.

Never enter real patient information, or anyone's personal health information, into any part of CareAide, including the tutor and voice simulations.

6. Fair use

Don't scrape, resell, or redistribute our content, attempt to extract the question bank in bulk, or use the service to build a competing product. Automated or excessive use may be rate-limited.

7. Liability and governing law

CareAide is provided "as is". Our liability is limited as set out in the group Terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada.
